PEACE & QUIET

My husband is pretty great about picking up on those days when Molly is driving me NUTS for whatever reason I need a little break. The other day, I had one of those days that feel like they are never going to end. Lots of crying. (Molly, not me) I love all the fun things about being a mom but the 2-year old breakdowns for no apparent reason, I don’t know what to do about this. What if adults acted like that. “I’m sorry, Jennie, you can’t have any more chips…” “NOOOOOOO whahahah booohoooo” I mean seriously Molly, get it together! Anyways, after a long day of crying and hold me, hold me we met Justin for dinner. My dad treated us to a nice little outside dinner while he played a round of golf. Things were starting to look up! The weather was perfect. We decided to go for a stroll and then BAM! Molly strikes again, except this time on the golf course. Time to go! I’m sure this has a lot to do with pregancy/hormones but I would have most likely spent the drive home with windows down, music up and joined right in with Molly’s cryfest. But instead, Justin to the rescue! He switched me cars and took Molly for a little drive so I could go home and have some peace & quiet. Its amazing what a difference a little kid-free time can do for your sanity. I just walked around the farm and did absolutely nothing (well, I took pictures of course!) It was pure bliss.:D

Monet - I hear ya. The two’s are fun but crazy as well. Thankfully Sophie is getting out of that stage. There was days when I would call my mom and tell her I was ready to sell my daughter to the highest bidder! Ha! But it’s past mostly. Hold your ground and eventually she will start to see fits don’t get her what she wants.
